Get Rob on your board

I take going on a Board as a very serious commitment. I don't invest unless I am on the Board. In many cases, I am Chairman. Getting me on the Board involves:
1. Getting me interested in investing.
2. Having the whole hearted support of the current Board.
3. Having a good Board with experience.
4. Agreeing that I will not attend, physically, many Board meetings. I will attend by video or phone. My health warrants this.
How I operate
When I am on the Board, I like to listen. I like a Board where all the functional heads present and questions are welcome. I like a Board meeting to be no more than 2 hours. It needs a well defined presentation format. It needs discipline so that new areas are dared to be answered when the company is prepared as oppose to winging it.
Sounds good, now what?
The process is the same as it is to get me to invest.
